Social Media

My internship and leadership experiences have surrounded social media for various platforms including Instagram, TikTok, LinkedIn, and Facebook. In all of these projects, I have completed photography, videography, graphic design, and caption writing. Additionally, I have experience in content calendar planning, content research, and analytics analysis. When creating short-form content, I work find emerging trends that will engage and hook my audience. With high energy and a strong level of professionalism, my videos average above 5,000 impressions. 

Organizing photos for hard posts on Instagram requires a certain level of story telling. The photos and graphics must be engaging and able to communicate my client's message. 

LinkedIn is a powerful tool for companies to put faces to their brand. In my internship with the McQuain Group, I gained a 250% increase in LinkedIn engagement for the company.

Short-Form Video

I spent countless hours making lip-sync videos on the app Musical.ly for years, thinking it was cringe when I was younger. Well, now, I basically live and breathe short-form video along with the rest of the world! Using editing software like CapCut and Premiere Pro and my DJI gimbal and microphone, I have learned how to master short-form video, with my most popular video reaching over 77k views and almost 4k likes. I am excited to continue learning more editing techniques and equipment integration to amplify the organization's brands and values and create an online community.

Impact: Increased eyes on the community's account by engaging in collaborations with the LSU Manship School of Mass Communication, Manship Ambassadors, and LSU Residential Life. 

Manship Olympics - The Body In Motion

Impact: This post was one of the most liked and viewed posts on our community's page, which was an incredible accomplishment as a communications intern. The simplicity and raw humanity in these photos engaged viewers in different, exciting ways from previous posts. 

LSU Dance - Fall Showcase

Manship Olympics - Official Playlist

Purpose: Provide a relevant, fun way to engage our target audience (Generation Z LSU students) as we share our excitement for the Manship Olympics Project 

 

Impact: This graphic helped immensely to increase engagement on the Manship Olympics account as we shared relatable content related to our brand. This post demonstrated LSU branding and relevant information about the 2024 Summer Olympics among pop culture references.

Audience members may not expect this, but there is so much planning that goes into creating social media posts! Without a proper strategy of optimal posting times, scheduled posts, and proactive content creation, it can be easy to fall behind. Take a look at a content calendar I created for the LSU Dance program below! This content calendar covered a month-long social media implementation period where I posted between 2-3 times a day.
